| Moeck and Mollenhauer Basses
|
Moeck and Mollenhauer are both producing some fabulous bass recorders at great prices. These modern designs are flexible and powerful, strong in the low range and crisp and responsive in the high range, and play fully chromatically for over two octaves. They are designed to be comfortable and ergonomic to play, and to meet the demands of the most challenging early and modern repertoire. Of particular note is the Moeck Rondo Great Bass in C, which has a fully chromatic range of 2 1/2 octaves! The Moeck Rondo is available with either a bent neck, for ergonomic direct-blow, or with a straight neck and bocal for a more traditional look. It is made of wax-impregnated maple, with a sleek and simple exterior profile. The Mollenhauer Canta is made of pear, with a bent neck. Both are supplied with neck straps and hard fitted cases. The Moeck Rottenburgh is a traditional Baroque type instrument, in maple, with traditional Baroque turnings on the exterior, and a straight neck with a bocal. A perfect match for any ensemble of Baroque instruments!
