| Kung Superio Tenor, Bass, and Great Bass
|
The Küng Superio Knickbasses are without a doubt the best new basses to be introduced in years. The "knick" or bent-neck design, coupled with an ingenious adjustable thumbrest makes these basses remarkably easy to hold and play. The lower register is rich and sonorous, yet without sacrificing a full two-octave range- the instrument plays easily and clearly in the extreme upper register as well! High quality brass keywork, including F and F# keys, and a compact, leatherette covered hard case rounds out the package. The tenor has a strong and rich low range with a clear and bright high range. It is the perfect ensemble instrument to compliment the big sound that is possible with the Superio bass and great bass. The bass and tenor are available in either cherry or pear. Küng's new Superio Great Bass in C is a truly revolutionary instrument. It is the first direct-blow great bass, and it has ingenious keywork and a bent neck for a very manageable hand stretch. It is designed with a closed bottom and vent holes around the bell so that it can be rested directly on the floor when playing without affecting the sound. It has a clear and powerful sound and an amazing two-octave range. Available in dark stained maple only.
Continuing with their fabulous consort of low instruments, Küng has now released a new contrabass recorder in the Superio line. These work exceptionally well, have a loud and solid low range, and feature easy-to-use keywork and an adjustable bocal for comfortable playing. Please inquire about availability.
