Makers of Historical Woodwinds Since 1960
Directions to the Von Huene Workshop and Early Music Shop of New England
We are located on the westbound side of Rt. 9, which is called Boylston St. in Brookline (Please note that this is not the same as Boylston St. in downtown Boston!).  We are just around the corner from Brookline Village, in between Boston Interiors and Italian Design.  There is a big gold contrabass recorder hanging out front!

Walking directions from Brookline Village T Stop:

Our stop is Brookline Village, which is on the "D" line (to Riverside) of the Green Line
If you stand facing the direction that the outbound train (if you got on the train in Boston, this is the train you were riding) would be travelling, Station St. will be on your right, running parallel to the train tracks.  Walk up Station St in the same direction as the outbound train to the intersection with Washington St.  This is a commercial area.  There will be a post office on your right.  Turn left and walk down to the intersection with Rt. 9.  Turn right, crossing Washington St, and walk down Boylston St/Rt. 9, without crossing over to the other side.  You will come to our shop shortly after passing Boston Interiors.

Parking:
We have a gravel driveway just before our shop which you may use.  You can also park on the street in front of our shop.  You will block some of us in, but if you're coming here we will know where to find you if we need you to move.  You should be careful to observe parking signs, as they do ticket in this are!

Directions from I-95/Rt. 128:
Take exit 20A to Rt. 9 East.  Continue on Rt. 9 for approximately six miles, passing the Brookline Reservoire on your right.  Our shop will be on the left side of the street just before you get to the intersection with High St. and Washington St.  If you go under a walkway over the street, you have gone too far.
The best way to turn around so that we are on your right is to turn right at the lights onto Cypress St.  (shortly after the Reservoir), take the first left onto Walnut St, left again at High St, and another immediate left onto Rt. 9.  We will be on your right, shortly after you pass Italian Design.

Directions from I-90/Mass Pike:
Take Exit 14 to I-95/Rt. 128 South toward the South Shore and Cape Cod.  Stay on I-95/Rt. 128 for about 2.5 mi to exit 20A and follow the directions above.

Directions from I-93:
Take exit 26 for RT-28/RT-3 N toward Storrow Dr/North Station.  Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Storrow Dr/RT-28 S/RT-3 N and merge onto Storrow Dr.  Take the exit for Kenmore Square and Commonwealth Ave. off of Storrow Dr; the exit ramp will fork, and you should take the righthand fork.  At the first intersection you come to, bear right onto Beacon St (NOT a hard right).  The next large intersection you come to will be Kenmore Square.  Bear left onto Brookline Ave. (Bearing right would put you on Commonwealth Ave; going straight across would keep you on Beacon St; Brookline Ave is the street just to the left of Beacon).  Stay on Brookline Ave for about 1.5 mi until you hit Rt. 9.  Stay right to turn right onto Rt 9, and go under the walkway over the road.  After the lights at Washington St, you will pass Boston Interiors on your right.  We are just a little farther down the road on the right.
