Yamaha's YR61 model tenor and bass recorders are among the best values we've seen. They are lightweight, made of maple stained a rich reddish-brown, with elegant baroque turnings and heavy brass keywork. The bass has a cap and bocal to reduce arm stretch, but may also be played direct. The tone of these fine recorders is full and clear throughout their two-octave plus range, with excellent intonation and response; a deluxe hard case is included. An a=415 corps de réchange is available for the bass.  The terrific great bass has two foot pegs of different lengths and an adjustable bocal.
