Moeck Rottenburgh recorders were designed by Friedrich von Huene after original instruments by the Belgian maker Jean-Hyacinthe Rottenburgh (1672-1756.) They are made in the Hermann Moeck Workshops in Celle, Germany. These instruments have a rich tone and flawless intonation. They are made of carefully selected hardwoods chosen for their beauty and durability. From hardest to softest, the woods we carry are ebony, rosewood, boxwood, and maple. The softer woods have a softer, warmer tone, while the harder woods have a brighter, fuller sound with more volume.
The "Knick-tenor's" bent neck brings the right hand closer to the shoulder and can make the reach more manageable especially for players with short arms, small hands, or of petite stature.  It is even available with additional keys on the center joint for holes 3 and 4 to further reduce the stretch.  The model with extra keys comes with an ergonomically-angled adjustable thumbrest, complete with a loop to accept a neck strap.
