The Mollenhauer Denner instruments are a sophisticated ensemble set developed after original instruments of Jacob Denner (1681-1735) in Nuremberg and Copenhagen. They have a strong, consistent, and flexible tone in all registers. While they blend well in an ensemble, they also have the volume and consistency to be good solo instruments as well. Their low price makes them especially attractive!
The keyless model has a warm, sweet tone with the simplicity and flexibility of open holes, while the version with C/C# keys is a bit larger overall (although the hand stretch is similar) with a full, solid low range.
