Makers of Historical Woodwinds Since 1960
Mollenhauer "Morgan" Denner Alto

The Mollenhauer "Morgan" Denner alto is based on a design by world-renowned Australian recorder maker Fred Morgan.  Before his tragic death in an auto accident in 1999, Morgan developed a copy of the famous Jacob Denner alto in Copenhagen pitched at A=440 for the Danish recorder virtuoso Michala Petri.  The result is a modern pitch Baroque alto with a wide dynamic palette, rich sound, and facile response throughout the full range of the instrument with an especially crisp high register. These instruments are very consistent and low in price, ideal for the advancing student.
The newly redesigned alto joins Mollenhauer's full consort of Denner recorders.
