Makers of Historical Woodwinds Since 1960
von Huene Flutes

During the seventeenth century, flutemakers experimented and found that a slight taper in the bore could be useful for better intonation and easier fingerings of the upper register. Such instruments are favorites with flutists who want to play early baroque music of the seventeenth-century, which requires considerable virtuosity.  Ours is patterned after originals in The Hague and Prague, and is made in maple in two pieces.
